So much to learn, so little time

”Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”  Colossians 3:16

We hope that this has helped you, and that if you are just starting your Christian walk, that God blesses your life like He has blessed ours.  You will run across many people who want to steer you away from God, you will be tempted, and you will fail.  Keep God’s grace in mind.  Christ went to the cross and all of your sins were imputed to him and judged.  During your Christian walk never forget this, because when you fail, when you sin (and you will), God’s grace is there.

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

1 John 1:9

Sin removes you from fellowship with God, but by admitting your sin to God you are forgiven, and restored to fellowship.  He is faithful to do the same thing every time, this is God’s grace in action.  Since Jesus Christ paid the price for the sin, God the Father can forgive you of your sin instantly.  All that is required is that you confess, or name, or site your sins to God the Father, and you will be forgiven. You are forgiven of the sin that you name, and all other sins that you had forgotten or didn’t even know were sins.  At this point you are not only in fellowship with God, you have the filling of the Holy Spirit, and you are cleansed from sin.  You are in this state until the next time you sin.  It is recommended that you keep short accounts of your sin so that you can spend as much time as possible in fellowship with God.  Like salvation the work has been done by your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

“To Him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.  Amen”

2 Peter 3:18b

May God bless you and keep you in your new life!
